Pratt Mansions is three, interconnected mansions located at Fifth Avenue and 84th Street, across the street from Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum. Built between1900 and 1904 in the Beaux Arts style, these mansions offer wonderful drawing rooms and a large ballroom that are ideal for weddings, parties, private dinners, fundraisers, Bar Mitzvahs, meetings and other special occasions.

The first step is to determine how much of Pratt you will really need – we have two floors and a number of rooms. After that, we can help you select a caterer, florist, music, photography, etc. that is right for your event and your budget.
Yes, absolutely. Our onsite staff provides all the support you need for managing the event, set-up, security and more. We work with you on the selection of a caterer, florist, music and other services. As your event approaches, we help create a more precise schedule of everything that should take place. On the day of the event, we are there for minute-by-minute supervision, from start to finish.

We have held events of all sizes at Pratt Mansions, from intimate dinners of 25 people to cocktail receptions with several hundred. For an event involving a seated dinner in our ballroom, our maximum is 150 guests.

We have helped many brides on their special day, but we have also hosted many other events at Pratt: fundraisers, private dinners, holiday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, meetings, musical performances, theatrical performances, operas and much more.

Yes. Because of the historical nature of Pratt Mansions, we ask that you select from a list of caterers who are familiar with our facility. This list is extensive, includes Kosher and non-Kosher caterers, and provides you with options at a wide range of price points.
Our fee varies based on when your event is taking place and how much of the space you need. In general, we find that our rates are competitive with facilities of comparable size, quality and location. No, there are no hidden fees at Pratt Mansions. The additional services we provide, such as planning your event, supervision, security, etc. are all included in the fee we quote to you in the beginning.
When we provide a quote, it covers the use of our spaces on either the first and/or second floor, use of the kitchen and our onsite staff. We also have furniture available including tables and chairs. You will make your own arrangements for catering (choosing from our preferred list), rentals, flowers and other services.
Your caterer will typically handle the rental of all the necessary tables, chairs, dishware, glasses, etc. Our team will work with you on the styles and colors that will fit your event and will also coordinate the delivery and pickup. Your caterer will place the actual order.
